Sinfonia 5 Finished and Uploaded
Yes, being retired is great, there is time to write music! I have now finished and uploaded Sinfonia no 5. Here it is!
Sinfonia no 9 is now finished and uploaded
Every summer I travel to the beautiful Hebridean island of Barra. Time spent there has inspired many pieces. This year I was able to write almost from scratch (the 2nd movement is an adaptation) Sinfonia no 9. With a slow expressive first movement followed by three faster movements this is more traditional than Sinfonia no 4 which was also uploaded this year. I am now working on Sinfonia no 5 which, when completed will mean that the eccentric numbering of the Sinfonias will be cured and I can start no 10 in the right place. Sinfonia no 4 is now finished and uploaded
Sinfonia no 4 was performed in March and is now available here. No 4 has three movements and I have called it ‘Three Tone Poems Without Words’. There is a story to each movement and I will leave it up to you to discover it! The first movement is an adaption of an extended sketch for my violin concerto whereas the other two are new. These last two movements illustrate the composer’s lot. The 2nd movement just flowed off the pen (computer) and took three days to write, while the second was revised over and over again achieving its final version only on the day of the performance.
The recordings of my Complete Communion Antiphons of the Catholic Church are complete. All commentaries are now done and I have put them in a YouTube playlist, link below. It is been quite a labour but great fun to do. The Score has has been revised and put into the same order as the playlist. I am really pleased to see that churches are using the antiphons, I would love to hear

I have also made some changes to the site. There are now separate pages for Chamber Music and Solo Pieces. Much more music has now been uploaded and linked to the many additional pieces that have been uploaded to my YouTube channel.
